Artificial Grass Care – Some Easy Steps
Whilst fake grass, or plastic grass is very low maintenance, there are some things that will have to be done to keep it looking and performing at its very best. Synthetic turf still requires some maintenance. But rest assured it is very hassle free type of maintenance, such as the occasional brushing as well as removing pet droppings as they appear. After your fake grass is installed it can take a few months for the surface to reach its optimum condition. The infill will need to penetrate and settle into the surface of your synthetic lawn and this can take time. Light grooming of your synthetic lawn surface is advisable in the first few months after installation as this will aid in the infill settling to reach peak condition. The infill will never rise back to the surface. Yearly maintenance is essential and Andyman can return to brush the fibres with a power-broom to keep the fibres erect and exposed. Andyman will ensure you have the most beautiful lawn on your street year round.
Instant Lawn- No Mowing, No Watering, No Weeding, Just Some Regular Brushing
Regular brushing with a garden broom will help to aid in stimulating the top grass fibres, helping them to stand erect and keep your fake grass in optimal condition for longer. Clearing the surface of your fake grass on a regular basis will ensure that no organic matter will start to decompose, jeopardising the look and feel of your fake grass. Stains can be removed using hot water or a combination of hot water and dishwashing liquid. For heavy stains, or oil-based stains a cloth and mineral spirits like metho can be used. Dog droppings should be removed straight away from the surface of your fake grass. Nobody likes to stand in dog droppings and brown landmines look unsightly! Oh... and the droppings might work it's way into your fake grass and that's just yuck!
